Yves Lequin

Jean-Francois GAULTHIER, est issu d'une famille d'artistes peintres bretons.
Encouragé par ses pairs, l'art s'impose vite comme son premier centre
d'intérêt. Il commence très tôt à peindre et est exposé pour la première fois
dans une galerie à l'âge de dix-huit ans. Quelques années plus tard, il ouvre
son premier atelier à Pont-Aven en Bretagne. Il ouvre un autre atelier sur la
Côte d'azur, à Nice puis à Saint Paul de Vence. Il participe depuis activement
à la vie artistique de la région, aussi bien en participant aux expositions,
qu'en créant des événements (Festival de danse de Saint Paul). Il multiplie
les expériences artistiques, que ce soit dans des décors d'opéra, dans des
performances. Il répond souvent à des invitations à l'étranger comme récemment
en Chine, à Xian. Jean-Francois GAULTHIER comes from a family of Breton
painters. Encouraged by his family, art quickly became his primary interest.
He started to paint very early and was exhibited for the first time in a
gallery at the age of eighteen. A few years later, he opened his first studio
in Pont-Aven in Brittany. He opened another studio on the French Riviera, in
Nice and then in Saint Paul de Vence. Since then, he has actively participated
in the artistic life of the region, both by participating in exhibitions and
by creating events (such as the dance festival of Saint Paul). He has
multiplied his artistic experiences, whether in opera sets, performances, or
again by responding to invitations abroad, as recently in China, in Xian.
